Four of us stayed in Kampa apartment at the end of October. The accommodation was super. The apartment was situated in an ideal spot just off Charles Bridge, so it was close to all the tourist attractions, concert venues, shops and restaurants. The apartment was warm and had all that was needed in amenities, toaster, fridge microwave etc. Furnishings were typically olde worlde but with character. The accommodation offered a double bed and 2 single beds with a kitchen area, shower room and a lounge. Linen and bedding were very clean with comfy duvets. We booked our taxi with the apartment owners. We were picked up at the airport and booked our return to the airport as we were so delighted with the prompt, friendly service and the price charged. We would recommend this apartment for a break in Prague. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Sometimes it can be difficult to have roots in two countries. Mine are in Iceland and the Czech Republic. From the moment I first came to Prague I have loved the city. So full of culture, history and every day heroes. My family owned an apartment where I and my family stayed whenever we were in Prague. In 1995 I took my first group of Icelanders to show them Má Vlast – my father´s country. I was the tour leader, but most of what I knew was melted into my soul and blood. Stories that my father had told me and later other parts of my Czech family. When I was with groups we stayed in different hotels, many of the quiet and nice. When I and my friend decided this year to go to Prague in October, I wanted to rent an apartment on Karoliny Svetle. My friend wanted to stay in an old hotel with history. As this was his first trip to Prague I decided to let him choose. We checked into Hotel Evropa.
The glamour restaurant Titanic! Vaclávské Námestí! The room... Hm hm. Not quite the room they had sent me a photo of. Smaller and shabby. I asked for extra pillow and more hangers. “Tomorrow” was the answer. The first evening we wanted to buy Coca Cola in the lobby of the hotel. Sorry but the one with the key would not come until tomorrow.
On our second night I told a dear Czech friend that I wished we had rather rented an apartment. Pavel my friend does not spend too much time in discussing things, he is action man. He made one phone call and the next morning we checked out of Hotel Evropa to an apartment on Na Kampé 11. We felt immediately at home away from home. Everything was so clean and there was everything we needed – though I would never deny that I would have liked to have a small washing machine and dryer there! But to find an iron and ironing board for someone who loves to iron was perfect!
To wake up in the mornings and see Prague Castle and the happiness in the faces of people strolling on Charles Bridge. To sit by candlelight by the windows late at night and look at those beautiful buildings all around. To be able to have open windows in this area and listen to silence was something I would have thought impossible. Until Na Kampé week. To be able to walk to the Bio-Market to buy whatever was needed. To only have to walk few steps to all those great, Czech personal restaurants and cafés. And to be living few steps from Charles Bridge and never be annoyed by loud was something I didn´t think would be possible. Until I moved into Na Kampé 11. How can any vacation be better than this? It can’t.
Our meeter-greeter was Ota, a charming, smiling young man, ready to be of assistance if we needed. Johanna called and asked the same: Was everything OK? Yes it was. Maybe more towels? They were waiting for us a little later.
We were a little sad when the time came to say goodbye to Prague and this great apartment. But when we plan our next stay in Prague - and believe me, there will be a next stay our first choice will be to contact Apartments in Prague – Prague Accomodations sro. Thank you Johanna, Ota and Ivo. It was an added delight to this trip to have been so lucky to find you and this adorable apartment in classic Kampa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Prague (Feb. 12-22, 2007). The Kampa apartment was a special treat. It was well furnished and very comfortable. It is located in one of the most picturesque parts of town, being very handy for walking or public transportation. There are many good restaurants in the Kampa Park area. This was our fifth trip to Prague and the living arrangements were the best.
Our pickup and return to the airport was also a pleasant service. Please give Johanna our special thanks for taking care of us. She gave us a lot of good tourist information.
On our next trip to Prague we will be sure to contact you for apartment information.

Our last stay was at Kampa (April 2006), which we shared with our 16 year old son. It is hard to imagine a more perfect location in Prague. We were initially concerned that the location might be too perfect; that getting to sleep at the foot of the Charles Bridge would be a challenge. On the contrary, even though we were there for a busy Easter week, keeping the double windows closed completely excluded the sounds of the outside world. Even with the windows open, the outside noise was not bad at all.
Kampa was so easy to find that we could turn our son loose on his first visit to Prague without doubting that he could easily find his way back. Prague is a wonderful city in which to get lost, but you can always find your way to the Bridge. Just remember Karlovy Most (Charles Bridge), and anyone can give you directions from anywhere.
Kitchen and bath are both a little basic, but were adequate to our needs. Had we planned to do more cooking in, we could have chosen one of your units with more complete kitchen facilities. For breakfast and snacks out, a little cafe nearby called Cukr Kava Limonada should be added to your restaurant list. Finally, though there was only one bedroom, the living room sofa folded out and that room was big enough for everyone to have privacy.
Hi David!
We visited four countries on our trip and I have to say that Prague was our favorite. The apartment Kampa was so charming. We were very satisfied with the apartment and the service of your group.
The girl that picked us up at the train station was excellent. Her customer service skills were very good.
I can't say enough about your city and our apartment. I only hope that we can return one day.
Thank you so much
